This website features a scanning radio receiver that you may activate and hear local public safety
two-way radio traffic in the Ventura County area. Given its location, you will mainly hear activity in the
Eastern part of Ventura County, however, coverage is available to the north and west. The scanner is
intended to provide fire/emergency communication coverage for the area.
NOTE – You will NOT hear radio traffic “live”. There is a delay due to the buffer that holds the
streaming data, and there can be as much as a several minute delay in hearing radio traffic after it
really happens. This radio stream is provided for information/entertainment purposes only. Do NOT make
ANY vital decisions based on the information on this website!!

The radio is currently scanning the following agencies:
  • Ventura County Fire Department
  • Los Padres National Forest
  • Santa Barbara County Fire Department
  • Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area
  • Channel Islands National Park
  • Ventura County Road Department
  • Some Mutual Fire-aid Channels used statewide (CALFIRE-1, -2 etc.)
  • Union Pacific Railroad Santa Barbara Subdivision (coverage from Moorpark to Oxnard)
  • Metrolink Railroad Ventura-Valley Subdivision (useable coverage from Moorpark to Glendale)

During large brush fires, the radio scan list has the ability to be expanded to accommodate additional
radio channels as needed.

The radio stream is limited to 10 users at a time. Please be sure to disconnect from the stream when you
are done.
